Was craving some Chipotle, so I decided to head over to the one close to school in Blacksburg. Found a parking spot and go up to it only to find out it's closed. No reason given, just a sign that said "sorry we're closed". There was a steady steam of students walking up and trying the door and, like me, they were all frustrated.
So I figured I'd go get a sub at Firehouse, I pull up and the line is out the door. So screw that.... I'm going to get my Chipotle in Christiansburg since it's not too busy at lunch. Pull up and see the drive through line is really long, but not too many cars in the parking lot. So I get out to go in, but it's locked as well. No sign on the door saying why the lobby is closed. I've been in there a few times and as recently as about a week ago. So now I'm getting pissed.
So 5 Guys sounds like a good backup plan. So I fight the traffic of chick-fil-a which causes backups into the main road due to its drive thru line to get there. Walk up to the door.... F-ing locked!!!! Why the hell is 5guys closed?!?! No sign on the door or windows.
At this point I see a lady coming up to go in and tell her that they're closed (turns out the lady is the parent of a former student). She was like, "what the heck?!?". So I told her that I had just come from Chipotle and they're closed too... And she said she had done the exact same.
Anyway, I look inside Which Which and see dozens of people standing around waiting for food and a line to order.... So I'm getting back in my car and getting a damn burger from McDonald's. Of course the double drive thru there is so long you can't get in the parking lot.
Then I see Sam's Hotdogs has only 3 cars in line. So I speed over there and get some friggin hot dogs.
And that's my lunch adventure.
Why in the hell are Chipotle lobbies closed? And why was 5guys closed?!?
